Recognition Award winners announced at School Sport Conference

Winners of the Recognition Awards, presented by Youth Sport Trust’s programme partners, were announced at this year’s School Sport Conference. The awards for high quality, innovative and inspirational work in schools were distributed at the gala dinner yesterday.
The London 2012 Get Set network Recognition Award was presented to King Alfreds Specialist Sports College for creatively using PE and competitive school sport to engage with London 2012 and the Olympic and Paralympic Values.
The Lloyds TSB National School Sports Week Recognition Award was presented to Stafford and Stone School Sport Partnership for embracing the inspiration of London 2012 and demonstrating innovation and commitment to encourage more young people to do more sport.
The Matalan yoUR activity Recognition Award was presented to All Hallows RC Business, Enterprise and Sports College for effectively re-engaging young people into school sport through the provision of ‘Alternative Activity’.
The Sainsbury’s TOP Activity Recognition Award was presented to Holden Lane High School for engaging the highest number of parents through the Sainsbury’s TOP Activity programme.
The Sky Sports Living for Sport Recognition Award was presented to Bridgemary Community Sports College for delivering high quality projects that raise aspirations and inspire positive changes in young people and their learning.
The Young Ambassadors presented by adidas Recognition Award was awarded to the Mountbatten School who demonstrated the best use of Platinum, Gold and adiStars Young Ambassadors to increase participation in sport, PE and raise the profile of London 2012.
